“We joined Tom for the Stoneycroft Ghyll + Canyon Extreme with our two teenage children and had a fabulous time. Tom was very approachable putting everybody at ease. He was very knowledgeable, pointed out risks and made us feel save during the activity. Tom provided great wetsuits and, in particular, the neoprene socks were appreciated in the colder parts of the canyon. I can highly recommend Tom and will definitely contact him again for another adventure in the Lake District. Thanks Tom for making our adventure so much fun!”

What a top bloke Tom is! My 2 children (14&12) and I had a brilliant time with Tom at Stoneycroft Ghyll and Canyon Extreme. I cannot recommend or praise Tom highly enough. Feeling like an instant friend as well as a highly professional and competent leader/guide, Tom only had our best interests at heart. Not only is he incredibly passionate about what he does, he's so approachable, knowledgeable, caring and brilliant with children. We had a blast!

“Awesome day out. My husband, our 13yr old son and I met with Tom to try our hand at Ghyll-scrambling and Canyoning, I have to say I was a little concerned that either I wouldn't keep up with everyone or that by "dumbing it down" for me the rest of the group would get bored.... but hell no, Tom was so encouraging and enthusiastic we all had a very exhilarating time and I conquered a few demons to boot. Tom also had extensive knowledge of The Lakes in general and gave us some tips and maps for further adventures on our own.
When we return to the lakes we will definitely come back to North Star and try some of their other adventures..”
